This piece was so satisfying and cathartic to work on! A meditation on metamorphosis, I wanted to depict transformation and the juxtaposition of blooming life with equally vibrant decay. This is also the first painting (that wasn’t a commission) that I sold before completion! You can find prints, apparel, stationary and home goods with this design here.

New Art on my Redbubble Shop!
Inspired by the flurry of winter weather we’ve been experiencing and by my love of all things Lepidoptera, this adorable abominable snow moth is fluttering in with the falling snow. You can find it available as prints, apparel, stationary and home goods at my Redbubble shop.
Inktober Day 8
I’ve started connecting the last few Inktober drawing together into a single sheet, resembling tattoo flash. I also added some gold embellishments, to emphasize all the shining and illumination that are the focus of each of these designs (the fire of the grail, the shimmer of the crystal, the glowing lightbulb.) Working on smaller designs at any given time feels much less daunting than producing a full page image every day (plus, it looks pretty damn cool)! I may sell the finished page when I’m done!
Inktober Day 3
The response to this cosmic bumblebee has been so positive on my Instagram that I immediately scanned the lil lady, cleaned her up, and loaded her onto Redbubble. I think she looks particularly attractive as a hoodie.
New Patterns on Spoonflower!
Get your sewing machines ready, because I just added four new patterns to my Spoonflower shop – three different variants of my Crystal Coffin design (mint, magenta, and teal) and a pattern based on my Arthropod Tarot series. Which do you like best?
Inktober Day 2
Inspired by the Lifeform Drawing Club‘s “Mutant” prompt, this moth lady is revved up and ready to pollinate.
You can capture her at my Redbubble shop, where her print is just waiting to be pinned and displayed.
UPDATE: thanks to Lifeform for sharing this Lepidopteran Lady on their Instagram!

Feeling Crafty
I turned my Stag Party fabric swatch into this cute hand sewn pouch with felt lining and a Velcro closure, and I can’t stop patting myself on the back about it. This project was fast, simple, frugal and useful – my favorite kind!
A test swatch of this fabric is only $5 on my Spoonflower shop, and this pouch only needs one swatch – add the $1.50 felt for the lining, minimal thread, and whatever closure you have handy, and you’ve got a project you can make in a few hours for $10 or less.
